Wolterstorff: Reid on Way of Ideas

Do I know an object or do I know my mental imaging of that object, pace Locke?  The sense data causes a mental image.

This was a tough chapter.   I think I knew beforehand what Locke and Hume believed.   I also knew what Reid thought they believed.   The first time I read this chapter I was dumbfounded.  I understood it the second time I read it, but I didn’t have time to write down my reflections.  The third time I read the chapter I was completely Lost (pun intended, let the reader understand.

I’ll write off this chapter and just plow ahead.
